I'm a history buff and a lover of maps. I have no plans to quit my day job but have an irrational desire to pursue an acting career all the same.

In 2017, I joined the cast of the C-MENT production of "Fiddler on the Roof" as an ensemble member, a return to the stage after a 40-year absence.

I am a member of the Scripps Heritage Committee, which provides advice on the preservation, designation, and naming of historical structures on the Scripps campus.

I have overseen the installation of photo galleries in public spaces at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, selecting the best contemporary field photography from the Scripps community and the most significant photographic records of Scripps history. I also design t-shirts for special events, such as the 100th anniversary of a measurement program based at Scripps Pier.
